Alison Krauss has been a country music star for more than 30 years. She was born in Decatur IL on the 23rd day of July in 1971. LeAnn Kymes and Alison Krauss were two of the youngest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss, born 23rd July 1971, is an American singer and musician. Her age was just teen when she began her journey into the music scene and was a winner of local contests as early as 10 years old and recording her first album at the age of 14 years. The year 1985 saw her signing to Rounder Records. Her first solo album came out in 1987. The group she joined was which she continues to perform, Alison Krauss Union Station. The group released their debut album in 1989.
