Simone Biles
Simone Biles was an American gymnast born March 14, 1997 in Ohio, Columbus. Biles is thought of to be one of the best athletes. Biles was the first female gymnast to be awarded four gold medals during one Games. At Rio de Janeiro, she was also the first woman to ever win consecutive World All-around titles (2013-15). Biles was raised at home in Spring Texas, in the Houston metropolitan region. Her sister Adria had been adopted by Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles. Simone was interested in gymnastics as a young girl during a day-care field trip to Bannon's Gymnastix and was there throughout 11 years under the guidance of her coach Aimee Boorman. Biles was a winner in the floor and vault competitions at the 2011 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships before moving up to the high-level competitions in the year 2011. Within less than two years, she was the best at her discipline. Her consistency, her vivacious nature and high degree of effort in the four events she competed in -- vault uneven bars, balance beam floor exercise, and floor exercises -- helped to set her above the others.
